Nissan to invest an additional US$1.4bn in China

Two new vehicles, the Frontier Pro pickup and the N7 e-sedan, will be launched by the end of 2025. By Stewart Burnett

Nissan has announced a CN¥10bn (US$1.4bn) investment in China, aiming to revive its position in the world’s largest car market after a sharp decline in sales. The company plans to launch 10 new models in the Chinese market by mid-2027—up from its earlier target of eight—as it seeks to compete with fast-moving local players.
