The rapid growth in the number of connected car services – and connected cars – is leading to the creation of new business models, technological innovations and strategic partnerships. In 2015, eCall will come into the equation, at which point all new cars in Europe will have built-in telematics capability. From then on, the urgency to reach a critical mass of connected vehicles will be superseded by the need to find new opportunities for all relevant industry stakeholders.
