Kia’s vision for Mexico takes greater shape

After a successful entry into the local market, the OEM is almost ready to begin local production

Kia began selling vehicles in the Mexican market in July 2015, and so far appears to have enjoyed a smooth ride. “We have had tremendous initial success,” a spokesperson told Automotive World. “We were able to establish our first 21 dealers and cover 65% of Mexican territory only eight months after stepping foot in the country, and a further 25 dealers have just begun operations.”
