VW to enforce third party, real-world testing

Since the emissions scandal broke, Volkswagen Group says it has been painstakingly investigating the processes and events that led to the use of defeat devices. Looking ahead to the future, it has also confirmed the implementation of third party, real-world tests to prevent similar events from occurring and to “regain and rebuild trust.”
