4 factors thwart fuel-saving HD tech uptake – report

A new report by the ICCT suggests that the widespread use of fuel-saving technology is being slowed for several reasons. Michael Nash takes a closer look

Research by the consulting company Ricardo suggests that fuel consumption of new trucks could be reduced by 33% in the 2020-2030 timeframe, providing OEMs introduce a number of new technologies. However, the adoption of these technologies is currently being restricted by a number of different factors that need to be addressed.
