US: Dow and Ube form li-ion electrolytes JV

The Dow Chemical Company and Japanese electrolyte supplier Ube Industries have signed an agreement to form a 50-50 joint venture to manufacture and market formulated electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries. The joint venture, called Advanced Electrolyte Technologies, is expected to be finalised later this year, pending regulatory approval.
