Following a 7.7% year-on-year increase in August 2011, new passenger car registrations in the EU inched up 0.7% in September. A total of 1,232,707 cars were registered last month, up from 1,223,994 cars accounted for in September 2010.
Registrations last month were significantly higher than the 753,709 cars reported in August
