AI-driven vehicle inspection could enable fairer valuation

Car assessments are often vulnerable to subjective error or exaggeration. For example, according to the UK Financial Ombudsman Service and consumer insurance advice website Motor Claim Guru, the most common motorist complaint concerns disagreements about insurance company car valuations. When a car’s condition needs to be evaluated or its value needs to be apprised, an accurate assessment isn’t guaranteed, with plenty of room for ambiguity and irreconcilable differentials.
