Albert Lam on balancing heritage and modernity

As Detroit Electric gears up for the launch of its first model, Albert Lam talks to Automotive World about the importance of maintaining continuity with the brand's heritage while incorporating very modern developments.

Albert Lam's start-up electric vehicle (EV) company Detroit Electric is gearing up for the 2015 launch of its first model, the SP:01 sports car. The model has been in development for more than five years now, and the final exterior design has just been revealed, along with a modernised logo and recharged colour palette. Automotive World spoke with Lam on the rebranding efforts and the balance between tradition and modernity.
