China is not only the world's largest automotive market by far, selling around 28 million cars every year, but it has also emerged as the innovation engine for the automotive industry. This is particularly true for connected vehicle trends. "A few years ago we would have looked to Silicon Valley for applied innovation, but it is now shifting to China," suggested Rainer Mehl, Executive Vice President and Managing Director across Manufacturing, Automotive and Life Sciences at Capgemini Invent.
