J.D. Power's US Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study does just that.
The study evaluates 77 specific attributes grouped into 10 categories for an overall APEAL Index score, measured on a 1,000-point scale. With more than 84,000 respondents and spanning 208 models, it's a comprehensive look at new car ownership (first 90 days) in the US today.
