ArcelorMittal readies itself for next generation automotive products

With AHSS adoption above expected levels, the world’s largest steel manufacturer has made multiple investments in its Gent facility to meet demand, writes Xavier Boucherat

The global steel industry continues to weather stormy conditions, but things remain rosy on the automotive side of the business. That’s according to ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel manufacturer. “Our automotive business is extremely strong,” Philippe Aubron, Chief Marketing Officer for ArcelorMittal’s automotive business in Europe, told Automotive World. “We remain very optimistic for the years to come, especially when you consider that the European market is not yet back to pre-crisis level.”
