With cities eager to convince people to use mass transit, automated microshuttles could play a key role in connecting unlinked sections of the transport chain. By Jack Hunsley

Today’s cities have plenty on their plates. Politics, pollution, rising population; all could be convincingly argued as the biggest gripe facing these urban hubs. A sweeping solution is unlikely, but CASE (connected, autonomous, shared and electric) development could ease the burden on multiple fronts.
