Assisted driving means safer and more efficient trucks

A drive for efficiency could also help fleets adopt far safer trucks. By Jack Hunsley

In Europe, trucks transport 14.7 billion tonnes of goods per year on average, accounting for 76.7% of all goods carried across the continent. This sheer amount of cargo requires heavy equipment to handle the workload, but the increased size and weight of a typical commercial vehicle compared to a passenger car creates safety problems.
