Similarly, a great deal of promise sits on the shoulders of the electric vehicle (EV) segment. Sales are expected to climb rapidly as the industry looks to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels, with some estimates suggesting EVs will represent upwards of 35% of new light duty vehicle sales by 2040.
