Commercial vehicles (CVs) are at the forefront of autonomous vehicle (AV) design. In the US, trucks move more than 70% of the nation’s entire freight, by weight. In China, the share is even higher. A constant push for efficiency, in order to serve markets with a desire for faster goods delivery, makes the segment a prime target for autonomous innovation. But what differentiates autonomous CV design from that of autonomous passenger vehicles?
