BMW recently presented a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) configuration that uses two electric motors and a combustion engine at the Vienna Motor Symposium 2015. Dubbed ‘Power eDrive,’ the OEM says it is the result of “aiming to satisfy” the consumer through an enhanced driving experience. The configuration is a revised version of the eDrive found in the BMW i8, and could become a platform for models to come.
