Boxster and Cayman step out of the 911’s shadow with name change

Porsche is refining its naming strategy for the Boxster and the Cayman, bringing back an alphanumeric approach. Starting with the 2016 model year versions, the two-door mid-engine sports cars will be known as the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman.
