EY’s Global Automotive Center has once again pinpointed the five big themes that are expected to dominate the performance of automotive companies this year. According to the report Changing Lanes 2014-15: the automotive C-suite’s agenda, the five major themes involve new sources of volatility, getting closer to customers, operational efficiency, resource management and multidimensional competition.

Automotive World spoke to EY's Global Lead Analyst Anil Valsan about the industry developments over the past year and how they are reflected in the study's latest findings. "Compared to last year, the five broad themes have remained the same but within each of these five areas the issues and challenges the C-Suite are facing has changed," explained Valsan.
