C-Suite share views on US fuel tax increase

What do the Chief Executives of General Motors, Ford and FCA think about proposals to increase the tax on gasoline? By Megan Lampinen

There have been rumblings about a hike in the US gasoline tax for months as the government scrambles to finance massive infrastructure investment requirements. Earlier this year President Donald Trump outlined plans to spend US$200bn in infrastructure but he never specified where the money would come from. In February he suggested a 25-cent increase to the gas tax. The current tax on gasoline stands at 18.4 cents and has not been increased since 1993. Nor has the tax on diesel, which stands at 24.4 cents.
