Cadillac returns to racing in performance push

Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen is bullish on the brand's performance models and believes that a return to endurance racing will bolster its image. By Megan Lampinen

Cadillac's long-running revival efforts are now turning to racing as a means of promoting the brand's high performance road models. After a 14-year hiatus the luxury brand will return to endurance racing with the new DPi-V.R race car for the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series, Prototype (P) class. The model's first race is set for 28 January.
