US plug-in electric vehicle (EV) sales dropped year-on-year in July 2019 by 11%, the first such decline in many years. According to research from InsideEVs, the figure sank from 29,598 units in July 2018 to 26,395. But this is unlikely to prompt significant concern among stakeholders: the bigger picture remains positive, with year-to-date sales up 14% over the same period in 2018.
