Can vehicle sharing propel Singapore’s zero-emission vision? 

High vehicle ownership costs and government regulations are pushing Singaporean drivers towards sharing platforms. By Stewart Burnett 

The way that consumers experience vehicles is changing. A shift towards flexible ownership, leasing and rental is underway, particularly among young adults. A June 2023 poll by UK car insurance firm Direct Line found that 59% of motorists aged 18-34 are considering flexible ownership models, compared to 15% of drivers aged 55 and older.
