City authorities need to step up to AV evolution

The rollout of AVs in urban environments could be closer than some expect, but cities around the world are not yet ready to house the technology. By Michael Nash

OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and technology companies are coming up with innovative new autonomous vehicle (AV) designs all the time, many of which are specifically aimed at urban operation.
