Cobot efficiency is fuelled by data integration

Collaborative robots are becoming an integral part of the factory of the future – but their effectiveness depends on the value of the data they are provided, writes Stephan Romeder

Highly complex collaborative robots, or cobots, can perform repetitive tasks while working hand in hand with humans to improve productivity and product quality. Already installed in factories and warehouses across the globe, Barclays Equity Research estimates that the cobot market will soar from US$120m in sales in 2015 to US$12bn in 2025.
