The automotive industry's reliance on increasingly powerful vehicle software platforms for functions such as connectivity, ADAS and engine electronics adds in a level of maintenance well beyond the capabilities of the vehicle owner or a local mechanic. To ensure the vehicle performs to the best of its abilities, OEMs must ensure the vehicle’s software and firmware are kept up to date.
