It’s understandable that the concept of autonomous vehicles makes people wary, and even anxious. After all, it will require a huge societal and cultural shift to accept such a ground-breaking technology. The automotive industry is working hard at the moment to prove that any concerns we have are unfounded, or at least dispelled for now, and that key questions are put to bed. For instance, how much human oversight of a vehicle will be required? How will manual and driverless cars work together on the same road space? And most importantly, what are the safety implications of this technology?
