COMMENT: Electric vans and trucks face tough cost and payload challenges

All-electric power for commercial vehicles is becoming a gradually more viable proposition. Range limitation, however, remains a key obstacle, one imposed by the need for an economic payload, because a balance must be struck between battery weight and a van or truck’s carrying capacity.
