COMMENT: Everything will be different post COVID-19—and automakers will need to adapt

Automakers should not wait until the COVID-19 crisis is over to prepare for recovery—they should start their engines now, writes Philip Beil

It is barely four months since the first confirmed case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in December 2019, but normal everyday life has now all but ground to a halt as the virus continues to spread. The measures implemented by governments in response to coronavirus are affecting almost all industries, and the automotive industry has been particularly hard hit.
