COMMENT: Fuel cells – a threat to battery electric vehicles?

BY KEVIN MAK. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles offer several benefits over battery electric vehicles, but should be seen as complementary in the broader aim of lowering emissions

Mandates to lower harmful emissions and requirements to sell more zero emission vehicles are increasing, leading to the development of battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell powertrains. Although Tesla’s Chief Executive Elon Musk has dubbed the latter “fool cells,” they should not be dismissed.
