COMMENT: Renschler’s VW Trucks fire sale denial raises eyebrows

That Andreas Renschler, the head of VW Trucks, should have told German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung (FAS) that there will be no fire sale of assets should come as no surprise. What else could he have said? As the dust clouds continue to swirl around VW’s creative approach to emissions control, any comment that could imply a forced move away from the status quo would be a damaging one.
