In recent months, there’s been a surge in momentum, and debate, on telematics. The subject has gained widespread coverage, with the UK’s Daily Telegraph reporting that “Drivers without insurance 'black box' could be forced off the road within 10 years”. European legislation is helping to drive momentum, with the European Parliament calling for EU member states to have appropriate infrastructure in place by October 2017 for an EU-wide telematics-based eCall system.
