While Apple and similar companies develop their smartphones, OEMs have spent much time over the years developing their brands to fit into this increasingly evolving consumer electronics landscape, fitting their cars with systems that will allow drivers to stay connected to their daily lives while driving.
These days, every OEM is working toward a connected car that takes advantage of next-generation data speeds, from voice-controlled apps and infotainment to advanced diagnostics. But is it realistic to assume that the automotive industry can keep up with an industry that evolves so much faster?
