Insurers paint worrying scenario of data usage in autonomous future

The All Party Parliamentary Group on Insurance and Financial Services meets in Westminster today, where experts will present their visions for the future and what it means for the auto insurance industry. By Megan Lampinen

The UK is actively working to put itself at the front of autonomous car technology, but it's no easy task. To become the 'centre for excellence' in self-driving technology envisioned by UK Chancellor George Osborne, there are a lot of details that need to be ironed out. The insurance industry is particularly concerned about the changes, and taking steps to ensure it is positioned to survive the transformation taking place.
