‘Conscious decision’ made to exclude active safety from some new models

Active safety systems and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are becoming increasingly common across the passenger vehicle sector as vehicle manufacturers look to reduce the number of road traffic collisions. However, some new market entrants in the lower-end segments are sparsely equipped and, as result, have received low scores on crash tests.
