Until very recently, mobility has been a purely mechanical affair. The cogs and bolts that have underpinned and powered automobiles have, in relative terms, changed very little since the advent of affordable private transportation. However, as the industry barrels ever more quickly towards the next generation of mobility, this transition may require a rethink.
