Cost, not tech, is the emissions target challenge, says powertrain supplier

Upcoming fuel economy standards are driving powertrain technology development harder than ever before, but OEMs have some way to go before they hit CAFE’s magic number of 54.5mpg, and Europe’s 2021 CO2 emissions limit of 95g/km.
