Cyber security essential ‘to avoid the unthinkable’

There have been several recent instances involving hackers bypassing security features and accessing numerous vehicle control systems, from infotainment to the air conditioning and the brakes. Although these instances have been part of research initiatives, they have called into question the security of connected vehicles.
