When two vehicle manufacturers enter into a manufacturing or supply deal with each other, it translates into advantages for both parties, such as economies of scale, better capacity utilization, and savings on manufacturing cost. Such collaborations usually happen when the two OEMs in question do not compete in a particular segment, in a particular market.
