Defining ‘connected car’ means understanding consumer needs and concerns – McKinsey

Adding complexity to the connected car also adds complexity to the issues surrounding the associated technologies, such as revenue models, customer needs and customer concerns

Today’s car has the computing power of 20 personal computers, features around 100 million lines of programming code, and processes up to 25 gigabytes of data an hour. With this new power comes a host of new technologies, which are ultimately transforming the automotive sector; this, however, also creates major implications for industry players and consumers alike.

Global management and consulting firm McKinsey recently published a report entitled “What’s driving the Connected Car”.
