Distracted driving among teens more severe than predicted

Research by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety concludes that distracted driving amongst teens is much more serious a problem than previously known

Teens have the highest crash rate of any group in the US, with around 963,000 drivers aged 16-19 involved in police-reported crashes in 2013, the most recent year of available data. These crashes resulted in 383,000 injuries and 2,865 deaths.
