Drivers remain wary of autonomous cars, finds UMTRI

University of Michigan's Transport Research Institute surveyed drivers on the level of automation they really desire in their vehicles – if any at all

With each step forward in autonomous driving technology, experts predict how long it will take for driverless cars to become available to the consumer. Some say as little as five years, others say it will be 20 years or more. However, these predictions largely ignore more pressing issues that must be resolved first.
