E-mopeds could be the future of urban mobility

Raphael Moszynski from Blitz Motors weighs in on whether e-moped fleets could feasibly replace vehicle ownership in cities. By Will Girling

Business consulting firm Grand View Research estimated the global electric scooter market to be worth US$20.78bn in 2021. Stimulated by consumer demand for energy efficient and clean energy vehicles, the company anticipates a compound annual growth rate of 7.8% over the next eight years. If accurate, the market will almost double (US$40.6bn) in size by 2030.
