EB releases ‘building blocks’ for autonomous driving

Freddie Holmes speaks to Elektrobit’s head of driver assistance to understand more about its latest offering to autonomous vehicle developers

Elektrobit (EB) recently launched a new product touted as the ‘DNA’ for autonomous driving, forming part of an effort to help “every automaker and supplier grappling with the development of increasingly automated driving features.” EB's 'robinos' consists of functional, standardised architecture, which the supplier says makes it faster, easier and more cost-effective to design and implement autonomous vehicle systems.

Autonomous driving is an incredibly complex subject matter, and Bjorn Giesler, Head of Driver Assistance at Elektrobit, spoke to Automotive World to dive deeper into the technology, and unearth some of the wider issues behind its conception.
