In the event of a crash, the 60 minutes that follow are vital. Ensuring that emergency services can attend the scene within that ‘golden hour’ can vastly increase the chances of saving crash victims’ lives. This is the thinking behind the promotion of Automatic Emergency Call (eCall), an automotive safety technology being rolled out in Europe which can automatically alert emergency services in the event of a crash and provide accurate location data.
