EU recovery on track, but caution prevails

EU car sales have been rising for 14 consecutive months, but nobody is celebrating just yet.

Passenger car sales in Europe continued to grow in October, rising 6.5% year-on-year to 1,072,837 units. October saw the same rate of growth as the previous month, though September's total came in at 1,235,501 units. October's growth rate was notably above the subdued 2.1% rise recorded in August, the 5.6% growth in July and the 4.5% rate seen in both May and June.
