FCA’s ‘creative’ sales reporting spurs SEC probe

Following a dealer lawsuit at the start of the year, FCA's sales reporting practices have now come under investigation by the SEC. By Megan Lampinen

The US government is taking a closer look at exactly how FCA has been reporting its sales figures every month. The company has enjoyed a record sales run in the pivotal US market, clocking up 75 consecutive months of year-on-year volume growth. However, the validity of that claim could come under question following a probe by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
