Automotive World speaks to Frederiek Toney, Ford Vice President, Customer Service Division, on how the SMART Technology programme is revolutionising customer service

Digital technology is reshaping the automotive retail business, and not just the luxury segment either. Ford launched the SMART Technology (SMARTT) programme last year to introduce innovative new technologies such as tablets and software into the company’s dealer management system. Big plans are underway to expand this programme in March, and Automotive World spoke to Frederiek Toney, Ford Vice President, Customer Service Division, about the reception so far and what to expect next.
