Commercial vans are big business for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV). Its expertise in the segment attracted Ford as a global development partner earlier this year. While Ford is set to provide VW with a large van and a pick-up, VW will in turn provide it with a new small van for Europe. Co-developments partnerships like this are becoming increasingly common in today's environment of rapid industry change.
