Despite industry predictions, new research suggests that self-driving cars will remain elusive in 2030

Software developers will benefit most, and 92% of autonomous vehicles will have only simple driver-assist features like adaptive cruise control, according to a recent report carried out by Lux Research, entitled “Set Autopilot for Profits: Capitalising on the US$87 Billion Self-driving Car Opportunity.”
